Movie Poster
Objective: Using imagination, a movie concept is to be created and a movie poster is to be designed focusing on flow and color.
Concept: The general concept of the movie is about a highly-skilled marksman who is an aspiring quirky artist with a dream to make a living off of her artwork alone, without continuing to work as an infamous hitman fighting to survive life without getting caught or killed. It is intended as a comedy action film.
Solution: For this project, I combined elements of movement and repetition. To portray her artist side into the poster design I incorporated overlaying directional brush strokes with canvas-like patterns for the background as well as making the character depicted quirky with having pink hair and a pink gun to coincide with the stereotyped persona of the artist. Then by juxtaposing the characters bright presence with a deep shadow placed behind her the duality of the character is shown.
